After twenty five years of a successful career as an actress and
dancer performing throughout the country and traveling around the
world, Ms. Mueller received a BA in Psychology from the University
of the City of New York, Hunter College and then settled in Vermont
with her husband and two children in 1980. She was awarded a grant
from the Vermont State Council of the Arts to choreograph, perform,
and teach dance around the state and was a professor of dance at
Johnson State College.
She then made a dramatic career change and became a registered
nurse receiving her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of Vermont.
She has worked in the field of Oncology nursing, chronic pain management,
adolescent health, women’s health, hospice/home health nursing
and palliative care since 1987 and was a clinical instructor in
nursing at Norwich University.
She is presently working as a Nurse Practitioner on the Inpatient
Psychiatric unit of Central Vermont Hospital and at the B.A.A.R.T.
Behavioral Health Services Mobile Methadone Clinic in St. Johnsbury,
VT. She volunteers as a nurse practitioner at the Peoples’
Health and Wellness Clinic in Barre, VT in her spare time and enjoys
spending time with her family and pets, gardening, music, writing
and baking in Calais, VT.
